To Our Family of Patients

The Coronavirus outbreak has impacted us all in ways we probably never imagined. Our hearts and thoughts go out to you and your family during this uncertain time. Our entire team wants you to know that your safety and well-being are at the heart of everything we do.

The health and wellness of our patients and staff is our highest priority. With heightened concern about COVID-19 (Coronavirus) we wanted to share with you the things we are doing to be extra vigilant with our cleaning procedures. Please know that our regular health and hygiene protocols provide the best defense against the spread of most contagious diseases.

Over the last 30 years, we have followed and exceeded the guidelines and procedures recommended by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the American Dental Association (ADA) for disinfection and sterilization before, during, and after each patient procedure. The fact that I only treat one patient at a time further enhances this.

Since many people wonder what sort of infection control procedures are used in our dental office, but don't often ask, we thought we'd take the proactive approach and share with you how we keep your health and safety at the top of our list. It means that all surfaces in the operatory, including the dental chair, dental light, and all drawers and counter tops have been cleaned and decontaminated. We also cover all working areas with protective covers and replace them with each new patient.

In the wake of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we are also being extra vigilant in our high traffic spaces and frequently touched areas – such as disinfecting our seating, countertops, doorknobs, and writing instruments. Hygiene is at the core of every sound dental practice. No doubt when you arrive at our office, you notice it is clean from top to bottom, and that familiar dentist office “clean” scent permeates the air. That fresh clean scent is a testament to our adherence to the strict guidelines set out by the ADA, and the CDC, that instruct our every move when it comes to protecting each patient.

If you have an upcoming dental visit:

We are looking forward to seeing you for your dental visit. Our office will be implementing COVID-19 screening questions to ensure the safety of our patients as well as that of our dental team.

If any of the following applies to you, we are asking that you reschedule your upcoming appointment to a later date. Contact our office at 727-521-1616 and we can assist you in rescheduling your visit.

  • If you have had COVID-19 exposure in the past 14 days.
  • If you or anyone in your immediate household have traveled to China, South Korea, Iran, Europe, the United Kingdom, Ireland or any country with high levels of COVID-19 in the past 14 days.
  • If you have current cold or flu-like symptoms, respiratory illness, or fever (at or over 100.4).

Arriving for your dental visit/check-in via phone:

We are taking efforts to be proactive regarding COVID-19. We are following a social-distancing protocol.

  • Let us know when you have arrived at our office with a phone call to 727-521-1616. We will bring you straight back to the treatment room as soon as it is ready for you.
  • Patients will not be allowed to wait in the waiting room and the visit will be limited to only the patient and no additional visitors. This situation is fluid and our protocol may change according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines.
  • If you have any questions, please contact us at 727-521-1616.

Thank you for taking extra steps to help us ensure everyone’s safety.
